Making Disciples

Please Pray:

...that we would glorify God through making disciples,

fulfilling the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31)

and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

“O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee;

For Thou in Thine atonement, didst give Thyself for me;

I own no other Master, My heart shall be Thy throne;

My life I give,henceforth to live, O Christ, for Thee alone.”

1. The Great Commandment: Pray that we show our love for God and each other.

³⁰ “ ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. ³¹And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:30-31

¹²This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

³⁵By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

2. The Great Commission: Pray that we would be disciples of Christ, making disciples.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Ø   For singles and their children to be discipled, using this season to glorify Him

⁷ For I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that. ⁸But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am.

^32b He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord--how he may please the Lord. ^34b The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit.

Ø    In our lives. Pray we would bear fruit following Christ.

⁸By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

John 15:8

And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.
