Saturday Praying the Word

Worship Service/Sunday School

Please Pray:
...that our worship would honor God.

1. Worship Service
…That we would truly worship God.
1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
Psalm 122:1
8Oh, give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples! 9Sing to Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk of all His wondrous works! 10Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord
1 Chronicles 16:8-10
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
John 4:23-24

…People are invited by friends, drawn by God’s Holy Spirit, and welcomed.
9“Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite to the marriage.” 10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was filled with guests.
Matthew 22:9-10
44No man can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44
27So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.
Acts 17:27
23“Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled.’”
Luke 14:23

…People will be convicted of sin, repent, and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
8And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
John 16:8
37Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” 38Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:37-38
19Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
Acts 3:19
16And now why are you waiting? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Acts 22:16
3that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
1 John 1:3
9That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
John 1:12

…Pray for the anointing of building and equipment, so there would be no distractions.
1Now it came to pass, when Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle, that he anointed it and sanctified it and all its furnishings, and the altar and all its utensils; so he anointed them, and sanctified them.
Numbers 7:1
9And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and you shall hallow it, and all its utensils, and it shall be holy.
Exodus 40:9

…that the choir and all the music bring praise to the Lord, for there to be an anointing.
1Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp. 4Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes. 5Praise Him upon the loud cymbals; praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:16
1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them who are bound.
Isaiah 61:1
13Indeed it came even to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, “For He is good; for His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud.
2 Chronicles 5:13
12And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

…for ushers and greeters, that every guest would be welcomed
35“I was a stranger and you took Me in.”
Matthew 25:35b
2Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing, some have unwittingly entertained angels.
Hebrews 13:2

2.  Sunday School
…Teachers prepare lessons of interest, excitement and practical application.
1My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
James 3:1
15Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
19“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.”
Matthew 13:19

…future teachers would respond to God's call to prepare to teach.
37Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful but the laborers few. 38Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:37-38
12For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
Hebrews 5:12

…God would increase the number and depth of those who attend our church.
7So then neither he who plants is anything nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
1 Corinthians 3: 7-8

… members would lead in Prayer, OutReach, InReach, Need-meeting or Teaching
42And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrineteaching and fellowshipInreach, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.Prayer 44Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. Need-meeting 46So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Outreach
Acts 2:42,44-47

….Every class member would be challenged and encouraged in their faith.
13For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God which also effectively works in you who believe.
1 Thessalonians 2:13

…for the Word of God to work in the hearts of the hearers.
12For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9
25 But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
1 Peter 1:25
5A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”
Luke 8:5-8a, 11

…Pray that every lesson be true to the Word of God.
16All Scripture is giving by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
5For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
2 Corinthians 4:5

…Members would not be merely hearers of the Word but doers.
24“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock 25Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.”
Matthew 7:24,26
1But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
James 1:22

…That our classes would foster genuine Christian fellowship.
24And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25
11Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
